For all courses students are required to have a windows laptop, which costs approximately AUD$650 – see Bring Your Own Device Requirement checklist. FEE-HELP is an Australian Government Loan Scheme that can help students with their tuition fees for Diploma courses at ECC.
As an approved Higher Education Provider, ECC is able to offer FEE-HELP to eligible students to assist them in the payment of all or part of their tuition fees.
The Australian Government pays the amount of the ECC tuition fees directly to ECC. You’ll repay the loan through the Australian taxation system once you earn above the compulsory repayment threshold. For more information, see https://www.studyassist.gov.au/paying-back-your-loan/loan-repayment.
As long as you’re an Australian citizen studying an ECC Diploma course, you’ll be eligible for FEE-HELP.
From 1 January 2016, New Zealand Special Category Visa (SCV) holders may be eligible to access HELP loans provided they came to Australia as a dependent child and meet the relevant residency criteria. For more information please CLICK HERE
Note: From 1 January 2018, Australian government legislation specifies that students must pass at least 50% of their units in order to continue being eligible for FEE-HELP. Students who become ineligible for FEE-HELP may re-enrol in their course subject to paying their own fees in lieu of FEE-HELP.
Once you receive your Letter of Offer, you will be given the option to apply for FEE-HELP. If you wish to use FEE-HELP to cover your tuition fees, you will need to request a FEE-HELP form to complete and submit to ECC.
The census date is the last date you can submit your request for FEE-HELP or withdraw from your course without incurring a FEE-HELP debt (falls 20% of the way through the study period). If you do not submit your form by the census date, you will not be able to claim FEE-HELP. If you do not submit an application for FEE-HELP by the census date you will have to wait until the next study period to apply.If you withdraw from your course after the census date you will still have a FEE-HELP debt which must be paid.

Currently, if you get a FEE-HELP loan to pay for your undergraduate course, you will have to pay a 25 per cent loan fee*. From 1 January 2022, the loan fee will reduce to 20 per cent for units of study with a census date on or after 1 January 2022.
There are several different ways you can pay your fees, if you are not eligible for FEE-HELP. Find the most convenient payment option for you.
Tuition protection’ refers to the protections and assistance available to support FEE-HELP or HECS-HELP (HELP) students, VET Student Loans (VSL) students and international students, in the event that their education provider defaults (ceases delivering a course or closes entirely).
