About Perth

Transport

- Cycling – Perth also has a large and active cycle network, offering an attractive alternative to driving and public transport.
- Driving – International students are considered to be temporary residents, and are allowed to drive using their current overseas translated licence. In Australia, we drive on the left side of the road. Cars have their steering wheels on the right hand side of the car, with the gear stick to the left of the driver. Climate
Perth’s famously warm climate contributes to fantastic outdoor activities and social opportunities, including surfing, hiking, water skiing, cycling and sailing. Perth’s seasons follow this pattern: Summer (December to February), autumn (March to May), winter (June to August) and spring (September to November).
