Edith Cowan College (ECC) welcomes international students who are under the age of 18. International students must be (seventeen (17) years old to start study at ECC and be eighteen (18) years old at the start of Orientation Week when they begin their course at Edith Cowan University.
Special arrangements, support services and protections are put in place at ECC for Underage Students (Minors), as outlined in the Underage Students (Minors) Policy and the Underage Students (Minors) Procedures.
Underage Students (Minors) need to have accommodation and welfare arrangements in place prior to arriving in Australia for their studies. The parents or legal guardians of the underage student (minor) need to complete the Underage Student (Minor) Parent/Legal Guardian Welfare and Accommodation Arrangements Form and submit it, with required documentation, to admissions@ecc.edu.au as part of the admissions process.
If a student will be unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian and will be living in Australia under an ECC approved accommodation and welfare arrangement, the student and their parent or legal guardian need to follow the steps below to arrange accommodation and welfare services. Once the arrangements are confirmed, ECC will issue the Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare letter (CAAW) for the student visa application.
Please note: Underage Students (Minors) must not arrive in Australia before the date nominated by the College on their CAAW confirmation letter.
